This USA-based $500m global confectionery branded business has its European office based in London, and following another year of unprecedented sales growth the Regional Director – Europe is looking to make a further investment in the sales team with the appointment of a French/English-speaking IBDE.

The business manages their route to market across Europe through a strategically appointed distributor network that sells into individual market, major grocery and convenience trade channels with a focus on driving brand distribution, range and merchandising, supported with promotional investment to further drive consumer-led rate of sale.

Their sales performance across both Western and Eastern Europe continues to go from strength to strength including the French, Belgian and Netherland markets which have shown record growth and now calls for an in-market commercial resource to help further capitalise on the enormous future growth potential.

Based in France/Belgium or Netherlands, you have developed your sales career in FMCG branded food, drink or confectionery companies selling into distributors, or directly to Grocery Retail or Wholesale accounts at head office level. Currently working as a Key Account Executive or in a Business Development role, you are looking to further your career into a well-invested and growing international confectionery business where you will be recognised and rewarded for your sales achievements.

Above all, our client is looking for an intelligent, hardworking individual who will take responsibility for a portfolio of European markets including France, Belgium and Netherlands through strategically appointed market distributors and can demonstrate the drive and ambition to succeed.

Critical to this appointment will be your good command of the English language with the willingness to travel within the nominated portfolio of markets and to the London-based, Rest of World head office for sales & marketing team meetings typically 3-4 times per year. Additionally, a command of the French language would be highly beneficial to this appointment.
