The Company
Our client, part of a highly successful division within a major FMCG company, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. This private and entrepreneurial company operates across multiple categories, including grocery, drinks and household brands.
The role is based in Scotland, and candidates should ideally reside within a reasonable commute to Glasgow or Edinburgh or be willing to relocate. A valid UK driving license is required.
The Role
The BDM role will have direct responsibility for developing the company’s broad product portfolio across wholesale accounts, including United Wholesale Grocers.
Your responsibilities will include managing and developing relationships with key customers, creating and leading customer business plans to drive sales, profit, and brand growth, working closely with key stakeholders, and delivering sales and profit targets.
About You
We are looking for graduate calibre individuals with a minimum of c. 5 years sales experience gained in the FMCG sector working across the convenience / wholesale environment. Alternatively, you may be a more experienced candidate with Wholesale experience, based in Scotland, looking to broaden your category knowledge.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility that will test your influencing skills from day one. To be successful you will need to display a confident, articulate and persuasive personality, combined with passion and a drive for success.
